The most recent Pokemon Generations have allowed fans to customize their trainer character by changing their clothes, — but Scarlet & Violet work a little bit differently. Here’s how trainers can change their school uniform and buy accessories from the various stores around Paldea.
A fan-favorite feature of recent Pokemon games is the ability to customize a trainer’s appearance. Buy entering the salon or clothing stores, trainers can customize their outfits, hair, and face using an assortment of unlockable cosmetics.

These options were on full display in Pokemon Sword & Shield and Legends: Arceus, but have been toned down a bit in Scarlet & Violet. While there are more face, hair, and eye options to choose from than ever before in the game, players won’t have as much freedom regarding their outfits.
Though outfits are limited in this game, several stores around Paldea offer a variety of accessories, socks, helmets, backpacks, and more. So, here’s everything there is to know about where and how you can buy clothes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

How to change clothes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Pokemon trainers are unable to change their outfits and clothes right away in Scarlet & Violet. Instead, you’ll need to progress the story until after receiving your starter Pokemon and battling Nemona.
Then, trainers can change their clothes any time by pressing left on the D-pad.
This will bring up the clothing menu allowing trainers to change their shirts, socks, shoes, gloves, backpacks, hats, glasses, and phone cases.
Unfortunately for trainers looking to alter their school uniforms, you can only change between Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter uniform styles in the base game. While each style has a different take on the standard uniform, you won’t get more customization than that.
